A guest visiting from Alabama, USA, came to receive a treatment during their trip to Tokyo.
In addition to chronic neck and shoulder discomfort, insomnia, and stress from a busy work schedule, he had difficulty sleeping due to an unfamiliar bed and jet lag while traveling.
Although this was his first experience with acupuncture, he was eager to try various treatments.
Based on this, I provided a session combining multiple techniques.
Relieving Neck and Shoulder Fatigue with Cupping and Acupuncture
For neck and shoulder discomfort, I first used cupping and myofascial release to relax the muscles, followed by acupuncture to further address pain and stiffness.
Acupuncture on the face can help relieve headaches and calm overactive nerves.
When combined with neck and shoulder treatments, it promotes upper-body blood flow and helps balance the autonomic nervous system.
As it was his first acupuncture session, he was initially a little nervous, but after the treatment, his expression became calm, and he said, “My body feels so much lighter!”
It was wonderful to see that his travel fatigue had eased even a little.
